I discovered the wetlands restoration site called Guadalcanal Village in 2001 and have returned thousands of times.  Although it's not currently open to the public, the project manager of the California Department of Transportation, who owns it, graciously allows me to photograph there.

Other northern California salt marshes  intrigue me, as well.
