Cullinan Ranch Wetlands

Cullinan Ranch wetlands restoration site
This site, along with Guadalcanal Village, has long been one of my favorite places to photograph. The dike re-introducing the Cullinan Ranch site to tidal influence was breached on January 6, 2015.  Its eastern edge abuts the Guadalcanal Village restoration site where I’ve walked and biked for many years.

A word about scum
Scum represents a fascinating photographic challenge and when it works out well, the pictures are wonderful! As with all of my pictures, the colors are as close as what I saw as I can get them, usually involving toning them down from the images that come from the camera.
